I can get behind Sean Illing in that what passes for truth is often a reflection of who holds power, but I also stick with the existentialists' perspectivism. While those in power have the ability to be more prominent "companions in thought" as Jaspers called them. But in this case, they don't seem to be much of a companion anymore.

I must say though, I will still disagree that Philosophy is dead. I think the problem really comes down to being educated on what Philosophy itself is, and the perception that its dead to science is what has caused its lack of being taught.
