Very interesting perspective, seeing smartphones and the internet essentially as a prosthetic mechanism of the selfs memory. However, I must say I think it falls down when you mention that one mind ends and another begins. I will agree that the internet is an invaluable tool for learning and expanding our existing minds. However they are not the mind itself, as the internet is a collection of others minds. Much like the printing press wasn’t an extension of ones mind in their times.

All in all, I find it quite interesting. Your viewpoint. I just don’t think it’s for me particularly.
